You may not have seen his name in the paper, but Austin Jacobs had a very big impact on the Boyertown Area High School football team. You don’t know his name because he’s on the offensive and defensive line. – not positions that gets a lot of press.
But somebody noticed him because he was named to the second team All-PAC-10 at the offensive tackle position this past season. He also received an Honorable Mention as a defensive tackle the past two seasons.
The coaches at California University of Pennsylvania have noticed him because they invited him to play on their team the next four years. Jacobs decided that was a pretty good idea so he signed his letter of intent to join the team starting this fall.
“I liked the coaching staff, the academics and the elite football program there,’ said Jacobs. “I loved playing with the guys I grew up with in Boyertown. Now I just want to become an impactful player and a positive influence on and off the field at C.U. of Pennsylvania.’
Jacobs will major in sports marketing.
