Upper Moreland 44, New Hope-Solebury 39 >> Holly Gohl and Emmy Faith Wood scored 16 of Upper Moreland’s 17 fourth-quarter points as the Golden Bears erased a 33-27 deficit after the third to stay unbeaten in the SOL Freedom Division Tuesday night.
Gohl tallied nine of her game-high 18 points in the fourth while Wood finished with 13 points as Upper Moreland (4-1, 3-0 division) won its second straight.
Rachel Saxon scored 12 of her team-high 17 points in the first half for New Hope-Solebury (4-2, 2-1), who had its four-game win streak stopped. Regan Chrencik chipped in 12 points for the Lions.
Central Bucks West 40, Souderton 21 >> Central Bucks West trailed 4-3 after a quarter but shrugged off the slow start, kept Souderton in check and pulled away in the second half for an SOL Colonial Division win.
Pagie Gilbert posted a game-high 14 points while Katie Finnan finished with nine points for the Bucks (3-2, 2-2 division), who led by 10 entering the fourth quarter and outscored the Indians 13-4 over the final eight minutes.
Teya McConnaha’s seven points led Souderton (3-2, 3-2), which had its two-game win streak snapped.
Central Bucks East 52, North Penn 39 >> Anna Barry hit four 3-pointers in the first half and tied Emily Chmiel for the game-high in scoring with 14 points as Central Bucks East improved to 5-0 (5-0 SOL Colonial Division).
Emily Barry added 10 points for the Patriots, who led 28-17 at halftime. Chmiel collected seven points in the third as East outscored North Penn 14-7 to go up 18 heading to the fourth.
Alli Lindsay paced the Knights (0-3, 0-3) with nine points while Olivia Stone chipped in seven points.
Central Bucks South 40, Pennridge 38 >> Ava Unzicker’s 15 points led Pennridge (1-4, 0-4 SOL Colonial) but the Rams were edged by host Central Bucks South (3-2, 3-2), who earned a second-straight win.
Central Bucks West 53, Souderton 47 >> John Lee scored a game-high 16 points and Central Bucks West used a strong second quarter to earn its first win of the season in Tuesday night’s SOL Colonial contest.
Teddy Spratt added 12 points while Donte Mancini had 11 points for the Bucks (1-5, 1-4 division), who outscored Souderton 18-4 in the second quarter to hold a 30-18 lead at halftime. West pushed its advantage to 44-27 at the end of the third but a late Souderton charge cut the final margin to six.
Shaun Purvy paced the Indians (1-4, 1-4) with 10 points. Aleks Smith and Evan Kutzler had nine and eight points, respectively, for Big Red.
