Players to watch: Katherine Martin, Sr., 1B/OF (All-Area Honorable Mention); Alyssa Schwab, Sr., 3B; Amanda Butera, Jr., SS: Ashley Remington, So., DH/P/1B; Hope Robinson, So., 1B/3B; Gabrielle Simms, So., 2B; Alexandra Szpindor, So., P; Grace Harvey, Fr., C.
Outlook: PJP returns a wealth of starters from 2015 and looks to improve on a four-win season. Martin returns to first after earning All-Area Honorable Mention honors last season with Schwab returning to third and Butera at short. Szpindor and Remington have put in a ton of work in the offseason and should be a good 1-2 punch in the circle while Robinson returns after missing last year due to injury. Harvey should see major playing time her freshman season at catcher, replacing the graduated Paige Horgan, her speed on the bases and glove highly touted by Knight. “With a large majority of our starters from last year returning, we are looking forward to another great season,” Knight said.
