Mercury Area Boys Lacrosse Roundup: Spring-Ford rebounds to top PV; Boyertown, OJR and Methacton win

Spring-Ford 14, Perkiomen Valley 9 >> Spring-Ford rebounded from its first loss of the season (Saturday to Upper Dublin) by staying unbeaten in the PAC-10, edging the Vikings.

Jake Hvazda starred with four goals and three assists, Danny Cassidy had a hat trick and two assists and Matt DellaCroce and Ray Orcutt added two goals and two assists each for Spring-Ford, which pulled ahead in the second quarter after a 3-3 tie through one period.

Shawn Coulter had three goals from PV; Matt Baker and Ben Minardi had two apiece.

Boyertown 17, Phoenixville 7 >> Jason Clinton netted a game-high five goals while Remi Brajkovich added four and the Bears downed the Phantoms in PAC-10 play.

Clinton added two assists while Chris Moccia, Mason Turner and Dan Yednock each scored twice. Gavin Yingling made 13 saves.

Owen J. Roberts 20, Pope John Paul II 1 >> Joe Tordone figured in on eight goals (3G, 5A) and Jack Colt had three goals and two assists as the Wildcats rolled.

Austin Delgatto and Ben Gindhart each two goals and two assists.

Methacton 12, Pottsgrove 4 >> The Warriors got on the board early and were able to capitalize on extra-man opportunities as they opened up a 5-1 first quarter lead. 

The Warriors saw four different players reach the four-point mark on the evening. Aidan Denecke (3G,1A), Stanley Kolimago (3G,1A), Connor Stevenson (2G,2A), and Kyle Derrickson (1G,3A) all tallied four points against Pottsgrove.
