Three from Radnor, Garnet Valley, Episcopal Academy headline girls lacrosse All-America picks
Between them, Garnet Valley and Radnor have 34 wins and counting this season. The Central League powers also have a three All-Americans each, tied with Episcopal Academy for the most among any team in the Eastern PA region, as voted by coaches.
Radnor, which won the Central League title, is represented by senior attack Cate Cox and juniors Ellie Mueller and Melissa Massimino. Garnet Valley middies Kara Nealon and Regan Nealon were selected as All-Americans as well as attacker Madi McKee.
EA, which won the Inter-Ac and went 18-1 this season, garnered places for Olivia Dirks, Izzy Rohr and Devon Whitaker.
Fourteen of the 25 selections came from Delaware County schools. Agnes Irwin junior Natalie Pansini and senior Emily Wills earned nods. Wills, who leads the county in scoring and has crossed the 100-goal threshold this season, was named the winner of the Jackie Pitts Award.
Also on the squad are the Springfield duo of Alyssa Long and Belle Mastropietro and Notre Dame’s Maggie O’Brien.
Pansini, Kara Nealon, Whitaker and the Radnor trio were also named Academic All-Americans.
