Dirks dominates as Episcopal Academy takes down Notre Dame

Olivia Dirks scored three goals to lead Episcopal Academy to an 11-9 win over Notre Dame in a battle of the top two teams in the Inter-Ac.

Sarah Groark, Alexa Capozzoli and Jayne Morley chipped in two goals apiece for EA.

Agnes Irwin 20, Germantown Academy 5 >> Emily Wills (five goals, five assists) had a huge day. Bryn Ammerman added four goals and an assist, and Marissa White and Natalie Corkran each tallied hat tricks.

In the Central League:

Springfield 17, Haverford 8 >> Alyssa Long found the back of the net six times as the Cougars led 11-1 at half and never looked back. Belle Mastropietro supplied four goals, and Julie Schickling recorded a hat trick.

Mia Ciancio led Haverford with four goals, and Carly Gannon added a hat trick.

Garnet Valley 17, Upper Darby 1 >> Regan Nealon and Kathryn Toohey scored three goals each, and Sydney Pyon chipped in a goal and two helpers.

Ridley 14, Lower Merion 4 >> Haley Adam paired three goals with three assists, and Kerstin Axe and Sydney Zimmerman each posted hat tricks, backed by five saves from Marcianna Tavani in goal.

Radnor 18, Marple Newtown 1 >> Ellie Mueller and Kate Hartnett tallied hat tricks, and Cate Cox paired two goals with two assists for the Raiders. Molly May chipped in three assists.

Conestoga 20, Penncrest 9 >> Abby Pennoni recorded a hat trick, but Rachel Clark scored five times, including the 100th of her career, to pace the Pioneers.

In the Catholic League:

Bonner & Prendergast 16, Lansdale Catholic 10 >> Lindsey Fagan scored five times to go with an assist, 10 draw controls and seven ground balls. Maeve Finnegan chipped in a hat trick.

Archbishop Carroll 20, Bishop McDevitt 1 >> Karli Dougherty, Kiley Mottice and Melissa Hewitt each had a goal with three assists to lead the Patriots.

Cardinal O’Hara 20, St. Hubert 4 >> Erin Grady and Rylie McGowan scored four goals each, and Kenzie Raech and Lexi Culp each turned in three-goal, one-assist performances for the Lions.

In the Del Val League:

Interboro 20, Chichester 4 >> Marissa Mullan registered eight goals and two assists, and Keri Barnett added five goals (including her 100th career) and four assists for the Bucs.
