O’Hara can’t hold off second-half surge by St. Hubert

The Cardinal O’Hara girls lacrosse team couldn’t hold off a strong second-half surge from St. Hubert that resulted in a 13-12 overtime victory over the Lions in a Catholic League game Thursday.

St. Hubert’s Ally Bee scored the game-winning goal with just 19 seconds remaining in overtime. That undid a heroic effort from Cardinal O’Hara goalkeeper Carrie Zamonski, who made 16 saves.

For O’Hara (5-9, 5-5 Catholic League), which led at the half by 6-2, Jess Randazzo led the way with four goals, while Lauren DiRenzo and Maureen Heneghan added two each.
