Cryan pours in 27 points to boost TCA in victory
Gracie Cryan was in a groove against Cumberland Christian Friday.
Cryan netted 20 of her game-high 27 points in the opening half to lead The Christian Academy to a 58-28 triumph in a Tri-State Christian Conference contest.
Cryan netted all 11 of TCA’s (7-4, 5-2) points in the first quarter. Danay Cooks-Green and Zoe Zhang chipped in with eight points apiece.
In the Catholic League:
Bonner-Prendergast 69, Hallahan 36: Alyssa Monaghan drilled six 3-pointers for a game-high 29 points as the Pandas rolled to their 10th win of the season.
Nyah Garrison added 10 points and Lynette Laboy contributed eight B-P, which led at halftime, 42-19, and shot 18-of-26 from the free-throw line.
In the Inter-Ac League:
Episcopal Academy 35, Agnes Irwin 24: Dylan Higgins busted out for a 19 points and Maria Kilcullen finished with seven for the Churchwomen (10-3), who broke open a two-point halftime lead with an 18-9 run in the second half.
Sierra Corbett topped the scoresheet for Agnes Irwin with nine points.
Germantown Academy 46, Notre Dame 40: Alex Kane totaled 12 points, four assists and four rebounds for the Irish, who played well but couldn’t overcome GA’s 23-10 run in the third quarter.
Kristen Rogers finished with 10 points and six rebounds, while Rachel Ryan chipped in with six points in the loss.
In nonleague action:
Faith Christian 49, Sacred Heart 35: The Lions did most of their damage on the scoreboard in the second half, but by that time it was a case of too little, too late. Madison Schneider led Sacred Heart (5-10) with nine points.
Unionville 56, Interboro 30: Gina McNamee buoyed the Bucs with eight points and Sami Barnett provided six in a losing cause.
