NEWTOWN – Council Rock North sophomore Dana Bandurick canned five of eight free throws including her last four with the game on the line to lead this group of Lady Indians to its first ever win over Neshaminy Tuesday night (Jan. 3) in Newtown.

With 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Bandurick made both ends of a one-and-one for a 41-38 CR North lead. In overtime, with no time left on the clock and her team trailing 49-48, she sank two more foul shots or the win.

Bandurick led all scorers and was complimented by senior Becca Margolis, who drained six shots from the floor including three treys for 15 points.

Neshaminy freshman Kristin Curley led the Lady Skins with 12 points including 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. No shot she took in the game was bigger, or more dramatic, then the 3-pointer she canned with five seconds left in regulation to send the duel into overtime.

Sophomore Brooke Mullin was Neshaminy’s second leading scorer with nine points including 4-of-4 from the foul line. She also hit a crucial 3-pointer in the game when the sophomore forward canned a tery with 18 seconds left in overtime to give the visitors a 1-point lead.

But that was before Bandurick drew a foul as time expired on the extra session.
