Berks Catholic 42, Hamburg 14: (see game story)

Exeter 42, Muhlenberg 21: Gabe Schappell continued his fine play under center for the Eagles, rushing for 261 yards and four touchdowns to keep Exeter (7-0, 3-0) unbeaten in Berks Section 1. The Muhls (3-4, 2-1) tied it at 21 during the third quarter before the Eagles put it away with a 21-point final stanza.

Governor Mifflin 48, Daniel Boone 0: The Mustangs (4-3, 3-0) scored 41 points in the first half to outclass the Blazers (3-4, 0-4) in Birdsboro and keep pace with Exeter in the Section 1 race. Seven Mifflin backs rushed for at least double-digits in yardage, paced by Lucas Garner’s 99. It wass the second straight shutout for the Mustangs.

Reading 26, Dover 7: Jason Crawford rushed for 180 yards and scored three touchodwns as the Red Knights (4-3) handled the host Eagles in York County. All of Reading’s 320 yards of offense came on the ground.

Conrad Weiser 42, Pottsville 20: The Scouts (5-2, 3-1) got 107 yards and three touchdowns from running back Koran Jordan to keep the Crimson Tide (0-7, 0-4) winless, in Pottsville. Darion Jacoby rushed for 145 yards on 14 carries for the Tide.

Wyomissing 49, Fleetwood 15: The Spartans (7-0, 3-0 Section 2) inched closer to a Section 2 showdown with Berks Catholic in three weeks with a convincing win over the Tigers (2-5, 0-3). Brandon Westwood gashed the hosts for 181 rushing yards on just 11 carries and scored two touchdowns, a key cog in Wyo moving out to a 42-8 halftime lead.

Twin Valley 13, Schuylkill Valley 10: The Raiders (1-6, 1-3 Section 2) notched their first win of the season by nipping the Panthers (2-5, 2-2) on a fourth-quarter, 24-yard touchdown run by Alec Ranck.

Annville-Cleona 33, Kutztown 8: The Little Dutchmen kept the Cougars (0-7) winless by scoring all 33 points before the break. Kutztown Qb Bryaden Eck threw for 132 yards on 7 of 12 passing, including a late 43-yard scoring strike to Drew Miller to avert a shutout.
