Berks at a glance: Week 4

Governor Mifflin 38, Reading 13: The Mustangs (2-2, 1-0 Berks 1) were in a scrap for a while, but put the Red Knights (2-2, 0-1) away with a 17-point fourth quarter in Shillington. Lucas Garner and Shavon Price each found the end zone twice. Garner ended up with 125 yards rushing on 22 carries.

Muhlenberg 18, Pottsville 13: The Muhls (1-3, 1-0 B 1) escapes the Crimson Tide (0-4, 0-1) on Cody Fidler’s 11-yard touchdown pass  to Anthony Jenkins with 35 seconds to play.

Exeter 35, Susquehannock 0:  The Eagles (4-0) had no problems handling the visitors from southern York County. Chris Scott rushed the football five times and came away with 126 yards and a touchdown. He also caught one. Nick Sarangoulis added a pair of scores.

Hamburg 55, Fleetwood 26: Hamburg (2-2, 1-0) got its Section 2 slate off to a flying start, as the Hawks unleashed Ignacio Reynoso on the Tigers. Reynoso had three rushing and two receiving touchdowns, part of a 419-yard night for the offense.

Schuylkill Valley 14, Kutztown 13: SV’s Brian Hauffman hauled in a late fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Justin Nawrocki for the game-winner for the Panthers (1-3, 1-0 B 2). The Cougars (0-4, 0-1) were ultimately done in by a missed PAT in the second quarter.

Berks Catholic 63, Columbia 18: The Saints (4-0) had a field day against LancCo’s Crimson Tide. Seven Catholic players scored touchdowns as the Saints seized a 47-12 halftime lead.
