Berks at a glance: Week 2

Daniel Boone 28, Octorara 0: The Blazers (2-0) earned a second straight shutout to start the season. Nick Hughes passed forone score and ran an interception back 55 yards for a second TD for Boone.

Exeter 31, Unionville 13: The Eagles (2-0) overcame an early first-quarter deficit on the road and pulled away for the win.

Conrad Weiser 41, Twin Valley 14: The Scouts (1-1) got 214 rushing yards and four touchdowns from Koran Jordan to clip the Raiders (0-2) in a Berks crossover at Elverson. QB Tyler Hoss was sharp, completing nine of 14 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown for Weiser.

Governor Mifflin 42, Lancaster Catholic 12: The Mustangs (1-1) crushed the Crusaders under the weight of 339 rushing yards. Hunter Reeser ran for 125 yards and Aaron Grill chipped in with 112 on just seven totes — a 16-yard per-carry average. Five Mustangs found the end zone.

Milton Hershey 29, Muhlenberg 26: The Spartans needed a late touchdown from Tyeair Diggs to defeat the Muhls (0-2). Muhlenberg’s Najee Smith ran for 145 yards on eight rushes with three touchdowns in a losing effort.

Berwick 27, Pottsville 0: Harrison Kuchka ran for two scores as the Bulldogs throttled the Crimson Tide. Berwick outgained Pottsville 330-75 in pitching the shutout.

Fleetwood 34, Donegal 13: The Tigers (2-0) piled up 435 yards of offense to beat the Indians in Mount Joy. QB Luke Emge threw for 279 yards on 11 of 17 passing with two scoring strikes.

Pequea Valley 27, Kutztown 0: Pequea Valley WR Chad Mullen caught five passes for 143 and three touchdowns as the Braves rolled to keep the Cougars (0-2) winless.
