Souderton 6, North Penn 3: The Indians only led 2-1 at the half, but Hannah Cornes scored her second goal of the game with 10:47 left in the third quarter as Souderton took control of the SOL Colonial battle on Friday. Cornes finished with three goals, while Ava Jones and Ava Shaw also scored for Souderton. Cathernine McGeehan, Ashleigh Barwis and Laura Albert tallied goals for North Penn. Meredith DeMarzio made seven saves in net for Souderton, while Kiley Moister had six stops for the Knights.
“I am so proud of the way we played against Souderton today,” NP head coach Shannon McCracken said. “We played truly as a team, possessed the ball well, and after some fine tuning we are excited to move into next week’s games.”

Archbishop Carroll 10, Bonner & Prendergast 0: Sienna Golden exploded for six goals on Friday to lead Carroll past Prendie. Courtland Schumacher added a hat trick for the Patriots (3-2, 2-0), while Cate McConaghy had a goal and three assists. Goalie Arianna Hall was credited with the clean sheet.

Methacton 3, Owen J. Roberts 1: The Warriors took a 2-0 lead into the half and held on for the PAC Liberty win on Friday. Nicole Uebele paced the Methacton offense with a goal and an assist, while Carmelo Maro and Adriana Hopple also scored for the Warriors. Avery Schwartz and Ceci Rehak picked up assists.

Girls soccer
Plymouth Whitemarsh 3, Quakertown 0: After a scoreless first half, the Colonials took control in the second half behind a pair of assists from Maddie McGuckien in a defensive battle. Scoring for PW were Keira Whalen, Angelina Balcer and Kate Yocom. Defenders Yocom, Brianna Reynolds, Katie Lukens and Megan Wendler stood out, as did goalie Caitlyn Dinh.

Upper Perk 2, Pope John Paul II 0: PJP junior Kyanni Escudero made 15 saves in net but the Golden Panthers dropped the PAC Frontier contest on Friday.

Wissahickon 3, Upper Moreland 2: Sage Stelzer and Lucy Greenstein scored second-half goals as the Trojans rallied from a 2-1 halftime deficit on Friday. Emma Greenberg also scored for Wiss. Upper Moreland jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind a pair of goals from Maggie Brophy.
“We have really been stressing this week the importance of playing a consistent style and a full 80 minutes,” UM Head Coach Lisa Benvenuto said. “We spoke about finishing our opportunities and playing within our system and today we did that. We were stressing the idea that we can only control our play and our response. Wissahickon has some very talented players and they play off of each other really well. Today’s match was very competitive and momentum did flow back and forth between both teams.”

Boys soccer
Wissahickon 2, Upper Moreland 0: Jeevan Jouhal scored in the 32nd minute to break a scoreless tie as the Trojans picked up the win on Friday. Michael Om added a goal and an assist, while Eric McEvily provided the shutout with three saves for Wiss.

Hatboro-Horsham 1, Lower Moreland 0: The Hatters survived in OT when Tony Kuhner scored in the 88th minute on Friday. Enrico Romano was credited with the assist, while Noah Schlosser collected his second shutout of the season.

Upper Perkiomen 3, Pope John Paul II 1: Ben Bosio scored the lone goal for the Golden Panthers in a PAC Frontier loss on Friday. Jason Krum finished with eight saves for PJP.

Girls tennis
Wissahickon 6, Central Bucks South 1: The Trojans swept the doubles matches without dropping a set and coasted to the SOL crossover win on Friday. Claira Baldasano and Hannah Yum set the tone with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Girls volleyball
Spring-Ford 3, Methacton 1: The Warriors (5-2, 3-2) fell in four sets 25-17, 20-25, 26-24 and 25-22 in PAC action on Friday. Leading Methacton were Kayla Ginther (16 kills, 5 aces) and Rachel Pettine (31 assists).

Pope John Paul II 3, Phoenixville 0: The Golden Panthers swept to the win 25-13, 25-13 and 25-21 on Friday. Standing out for the Golden Panthers were Natalie Ricevuto (15 kills), Gabriella Cooper (13 service points), Cindy Jin (24 digs) and Madison Monahan (21 assists).
