FIELD HOCKEY

North Penn 5, Central Bucks West 1 >> Maddie Waldspurger led the way for the Knights (11-3) with three goals, while Belle Sparango added two goals as the Knights began the second half of the SOL Colonial season. Annabelle Smink and Melissa Sessler played strong defense to hold the Bucks to one goal. Kiera Holt had five saves in net for North Penn, which is home against Pennridge on Wednesday for Senior Night.

Dock Mennonite 9, Lansdale Catholic 0 >> The Pioneers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one quarter and never let up against their crosstown rivals on Monday. Olivia Zaskoda led the onslaught with a hat trick for the Pioneers (10-3). Also scoring for Dock were Ainsley Moyer (2), Olivia Veltre, Erin Miles and Lily Hunsberger. Celeste Derstine added four assists for Dock, which is at Bristol on Thursday.

Pope John Paul II 4, Archbishop Wood 0 >> Abby Wilmot, Fiona Burke, Kelly Pires and Cate Mink scored as the Golden Panthers picked up the nonconference win on Monday.

Wissahickon 6, Hatboro-Horsham 0 >> Kendall Crowley collected the hat trick as the Trojans won going away on Monday. Julia Schools, Sophia Havrilla and Morgan Risnychok added goals for Wiss. Ella Hummel added two assists, while Raven Hiller made 33 saves for the Hatters.

GIRLS SOCCER

Upper Merion 6, Pottstown 0 >> Samantha Walmsley, Kate Wellington, Catalina Errin, Chelsea Smith, Audrey Schuebel and Adriana Lamesta scored for the Vikings on Monday. Olivia Smith and Autumn Hawthorne each played a half in goal and were able to get the shutout.

Central Bucks South 1, Souderton 0 >> Avery Nogami and Nicole Schulingkamp created some solid chances but the Indians couldn’t convert in the SOL Colonial loss on Monday.

Upper Dublin 1, Abington 0 >> The Cardinals stunned the Ghosts on Monday in SOL Liberty action. Despite the loss, Carley Slavin, Maura Day and Caroline Hughes continue to stand out for the Ghosts.

Wissahickon 3, Hatboro-Horsham 2 >> Margaret Wilde got the game winner early in the second half and the Trojans held on for the SOL Liberty win on Monday. Emma Baker led the way for Wiss with a goal and an assist, while Anna May also scored for the Trojans.

Lower Moreland 2, Upper Moreland 0 >> Nikki Sahl scored with five seconds left in the first half and Lower Moreland rallied for the win on Monday. Morgan Pennisi added an insurance goal for LM in the second half at the 49:27 mark.

BOYS SOCCER

Dock Mennonite 1, Lansdale Catholic 1 >> Dock’s Zach Frederick struck first last Saturday at the 60:22 mark off an assist from John O’Donnell. LC didn’t tie it up until the 78:51 mark with Gavin Fanelli scoring off a dish from Eric Fernandez. Brayden Kratz was sensational in net for Dock (6-2-4) with 19 saves on 20 shots.

Souderton 3, Central Bucks South 2 >> Nolan Hughes hit the game winner in the second overtime off a feed from Tyson Bui as the Indians picked up the SOL Colonial win on Monday. Thomas Smith scored a pair of goals, both off assists from Dillon Barbieri. Aidan McClure made six saves in net for Souderton.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Upper Merion 3, Methacton 1 >> The Vikings picked up the PAC win in four sets by scores of 25-18 20-25, 25-20 and 25-16. Sophia Schweikert was magnificent with 25 kills and 17 digs for Upper Merion (9-4). Also standing out for the Vikings were Vanessa Hutchinson (30 digs, 5 assists, 3 aces and 2 kills), Camryn Frebowitz (3 blocks), Caitlyn Daywalt (30 assists, 12 digs), Julia Giammarco (12 digs) and Sydney Bright (7 kills).

Downingtown West 3, Souderton 0 >> The Indians dropped the nonconference match on Monday by scores of 25-19, 25-13 and 25-19. Leading the way for Souderton was Alyssa Reiner with six kills and one block. Also standing out for Souderton were Alexa Mazzeo (7 digs, 1 ace), Nikki Hamilton (15 assists, 3 digs) and Alli Sauerwald (4 kills, 4 digs, 3 aces).

Pope John Paul II 3, Spring-Ford 1 >> The Golden Panthers took down the Rams in four sets by scores of 27-29, 25-17, 26-24 and 25-10 on Monday.

GIRLS TENNIS

Methacton 4, Radnor 1 >> The Warriors opened play in the District 1-3A Tournament with a win on Monday behind dominant singles play. Alice Liang, Hana Nouaime and Anika Suresh all won in straight sets for the Warriors.

Spring-Ford 5, Mount St. Joseph 0 >> The Rams coasted to the win without dropping a set on Monday. Mia Matriccino set the tone at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Dylan Conroy.
