Fuller’s layup secures a big win for Strath Haven
Kyree Fuller’s lay-in on the final possession earned Strath Haven a 49-48 Central League victory over Harriton Friday night.
Alex Ischiropoulos scored a team-high 15 points, and John Harrar added 11 points and some key late defense for the Panthers (3-1, 1-1).
Also in the Central League:
Radnor 44, Springfield 40 >> Michael Li scored 10 points, and Phil Regan hit a pair of 3-pointers to finish with 10 as the Raiders (2-2, 1-1) scored a huge road victory.
Kyle Sullivan’s four triples gave him 14 points, and Kyle Ryan chipped in 11 for the Cougars (2-2, 0-2).
Lower Merion 56, Haverford 48 >> Jack Donaghy led a trio of double-figures scorers with 13 points, but the Fords (0-3, 0-2) fell short in overtime.
Connor Guilfoil scored 12 points, and Kareem Bernard added 11 for the Fords.
Penncrest 53, Marple Newtown 39 >> Tyler Norwood scored a game-high 17 points, and Justin Ross added 15 as the Lions earned the win (3-1, 1-1).
Mike Mallon added 12 points for Penncrest.
Mark Dever led Marple (1-2, 0-2) with 16 points.
Conestoga 72, Garnet Valley 55 >> Andrew Louden and Brandon Starr tallied 13 points apiece, and Carl Tienabeso added 10, but it wasn’t enough for the Jaguars (1-1, 1-1) in the face of 25 points from Darryl Caldwell.
At the Don McBride Classic:
Haverford School 67, Prep Charter 57 >> Jack Marshall scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, and Kharon Randolph and Joe Dignazio chipped in 11 apiece as the Fords (4-2) advanced to Saturday’s championship game.
At the Delco Christian Invitational:
Delco Christian 75, Christian Academy 57 >> Wyatt Harkins grabbed nine rebounds to go with 27 points, and Devin Hill added 21 points to lead the Knights in their opener.
Jalen Sherrill scored 12 points for TCA.
In nonleague action:
Cardinal O’Hara 39, Cristo Rey 24 >> Jaye’lyn Peebles poured in a game-high 21 points, and Liutauras Repsys’ post dominance led to 10 points for the Lions (2-1).
Motivation 47, Sun Valley 40 >> Ryan Hall scored 12 points, and Kyle Ryan added 10 for the Vanguards.
Central 53, Glen Mills 44 >> Myron Sanders collected 16 points, and Ewhnik Proctor got into double-digits with 14 for the Battlin’ Bulls (2-2).
