DLN-AREA: Slay’s three-pointer beats West Chester East for the Cougars

Malik Slay hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Downingtown East a 43-40 Ches-Mont League National Division boys basketball victory over West Chester East on Tuesday.
Ryan Cahill led the Cougars (2-0, 6-0) with 17 points.
MJ Kushner paced the Vikings with nine points, Zae Murrey eight and Tym Richardson seven.

Great Valley 54, Kennett 41 >> Liam Ward had 20 points and eight rebounds as the Patriots (2-0, 4-1) turned back the Blue Demons in the Ches-Mont American contest. Robert Geiss added 10 points for Great Valley.
Ben Lesher paced the Blue Demons with 12 points.
