North Penn 3, Pennridge 0 >> Jack Picozzi pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out six and walking just one while also going 1-for-2 with a double and a pair of walks at the plate as North Penn earned an SOL Colonial victory over Pennridge.
Justin Egner was 3-for-4 while Jacob Martinelli went 2-for-3 for the Knights (8-7, 6-6 division), who took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Tyler Bohn – courtesy running for Picozzi – scored on a passed ball
North Penn added its final two runs in the third as Brian Neal hit an RBI single then scored after an error on Ben Farley’s grounder on the next at-bat.
Ashton McCloskey collected the lone hit for Pennridge (6-8, 4-8) with a one-out single in the top of the fifth. A walk and a hit by pitch loaded the bases for the Rams but Picozzi worked out of the jam with a strikeout then a force out at second on a fielder’s choice.
Pennridge starting pitcher Ryan DeHaven struck out 11 in taking the loss. He allowed three runs – all earned – on nine hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings.

Softball
Upper Dublin 13, Lower Moreland 3 >> The Cardinals were briefly down 2-0, before erupting for four runs in the bottom of the second inning and six more in the third on Monday in SOL crossover action. Bella Fiore paced the Upper Dublin offense with a two-run home run and four RBIs, while Madden Reilly added three hits. Kaelin Penna had a two-run double, Abby Olshefski delivered three RBIs and two hits, while Chloe Foster was 3-for-3 for Upper Dublin.

Bristol 8, Dock Mennonite 0 >> Bristol broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning and coasted to the BAL win over Dock on Monday. Aubrey Gahman had two of the three hits for the Pioneers on THE DAY, including a triple.

Boys lacrosse
Upper Merion 12, West Chester East 2 >> The Vikings took a 6-0 lead into the half and coasted to the nonconference win on Monday. Casey Lamey set the tone with five goals and three assists, while Justin Besz added four goals and one assist. Lincoln Jones added two goals, while Andrew Haney also scored for Upper Merion. Rocco Lindelow made 11 saves in net for Upper Merion (12-5).

Lansdale Catholic 14, Pope John Paul II 7 >> Connor Mann set a single-game scoring record with nine goals as the Crusaders won the Liver Disease Awareness Game on Monday. Patch Flannery added two goals and one assist for LC, while Pat McKeever added one goal and three assists. Also scoring for LC were Mikey Kleinert and Pat Cooney. Picking up assists were Flannery, Kleinert, Cooney, Selchert, Dan Curran and Colin Corbett. Jack Kennedy and Carson Schroding combined for eight saves in net.

Girls Lacrosse
Plymouth Whitemarsh 21, Cheltenham 2 >> The Colonials (9-6, 7-2) took a 16-2 lead into the half and coasted to the SOL American win on Monday. Brianna Austin led the way with six goals and two assists for PW, while Meghan Wendler added five goals and two assists. Bri Reynolds also scored four goals for PW, while Olivia Eaton added two goals. Also scoring for PW were Fiona Gooneratne, Rhianna Gooneratne, Sophia Gartland and Olivia Reilly.

Mount St. Joseph 18, Gwynedd Mercy 9 >> The Mount (11-4) took a 10-4 lead into the half and coasted to the win on Monday. Lauren Maher led the attack with four goals and two assists, while Maggie Rezza added four goals and one assist. Devin Loome also scored three goals, while Annie Shields and Emily Reithmiller combined for 13 saves in net.

West Chester East 17, Upper Merion 6 >> Sam Walmsley scored three goals and dished out one assist but the Vikings dropped the nonleague game on Monday. Camryn Frebowitz added two goals for Upper Merion, while Olivia Smith also scored a goal for Upper Merion.

Wissahickon 17, Quakertown 4 >> The Trojans (11-2, 9-0) took a 9-2 lead into the half and coasted to the Senior Night win on Monday. Emma Baker led the charge for Wiss with five goals and one assist, while Lex Hobson added two goals and three assists. Alexa McCabe also tallied six goals and now sits with 52 goals on the seasons, while Emma Greenberg tallied three goals. Camille Hubbs finished with four saves in net.
