Abington 11, Dock Mennonite 1 (5) >> John Dzielawa was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Colin Haney collected two RBIs and Abington scored seven runs in the top of the fifth to pull away Saturday and claim its third straight victory.

The Galloping Ghosts and Dock Mennonite both scored a run in the first before Abington plated three in the second.

In the top of the seventh, Pat McCalister and Nate Shaw drew back-to-back bases-loaded walks with a Brendan Cabry RBI single making it 7-1. After a Haney bases-loaded walk, Chase Goodson’s hit two-RBI single. Jake Kaplan’s RBI fielder’s choice two batters later had the Ghosts’ lead at 11-1.

Sam Laux drove in the Pioneers’ lone run in the first with an RBI double.

PJP II 13, Interboro 2 >> Nik Rubendall went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored as Pope John Paul II used a eight-run top of the sixth inning to pull away for a nonleague victory.

Brendan Kenning was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored while Chase Fratz went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and scored twice for the Golden Panthers, who took a 4-1 lead with four runs in the fourth. Angelo Fiorella had a double and two RBIs.

MaST Charter 6, Lower Moreland 2 >> Donato Incollingo led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo home run to pull Lower Moreland to within 3-2 but MaST Charter answered with three runs in the bottom of the innings and went on to win the nonleague contest.

Incollingo was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. He gave the Lions a 1-0 lead with a two-out RBI single in the top of the first.

MaST tied the game in the second then went up 3-1 with two runs in the fourth.

Boys Lacrosse

Upper Merion 14, Holy Ghost Prep 10 >> Casey Lamey finished with three goals and five assists while Ryan Becker went 7-of-9 on faceoffs in the fourth quarter as Upper Merion outscored Holy Ghost Prep 8-3 in the final period to rally for a nonleague win.

Collin McCormick scored four goals, Brayden Marino had three goals and two assists while Justin Besz collected two goals and an assist for the Vikings. Lincoln Jones and Kevin Roseland each had a goal with Jones adding an assist. UM goalkeeper Rocco Lindelow made nine saves.

Girls Lacrosse

Downingtown East 19, Plymouth Whitemarsh 7 >> Brianna Austin had five goals and two assists as Plymouth Whitemarsh had its four-game win streak snapped in the nonleague matchup.

Fiona Gooneratne and Bri Reynolds each added a goal for the Colonials (6-2, 5-0 SOL American). Riley Marks and Nickie Prendergast both scored four goals for host Downingtown East, which led 16-5 at halftime.

Archbishop Carroll 11, Notre Dame (Md.) 7 >> Chloe Bleckley paced Archbishop Carroll with three goals as the Patriots traveled to Towson, Maryland and picked up a win to keep its perfect record intact.

Ava Bleckley had two goals, an assist and three draw controls while Kiley Mottice registered a goal, two assists and three draw controls for Carroll (11-0, 4-0 PCL), which outscored Notre Dame 6-3 in the second half. Goalie Bridget Robinson made six saves.

Softball

MaST Charter 9, Dock Mennonite 7 >> Maggie Dowell had a pair of doubles, a sacrifice fly and two RBIs for Dock Mennonite but the Pioneers could not come back after falling behind 6-1 after an inning Friday.

Aubrey Gahman had a double, sacrifice bunt and an RBI while Trinity Landis walked twice for Dock.
