18 Perkiomen Valley student-athletes make college commitments

Eighteen Perkiomen Valley student-athletes recently announced their college decisions during a signing ceremony at the school with family, friends and coaches. Making their athletic college commitments were: Lauren Keyte (field hockey/Quinnipiac University), Mackenzie Hanlon (girls lacrosse/University of Colorado Boulder), Kayla Minkon (field hockey/East Stroudsburg University), Chloe Miller (field hockey/University of New Hampshire), Owen Slack (boys soccer/West Chester University), Aidan McCabe (boys lacrosse/Manhattan College), Luke Cichetti (boys lacrosse/Widener University), Jordyne Stong (field hockey/Desales University), Jack Colyer (baseball/Ithaca College), Savannah Silvestre (field hockey/Shippensburg University), Tyler Boccelli (baseball/University of Valley Forge), Julia Downing (field Hockey/Bellarmine University), Sam Grayauskie (swimming/East Stroudsburg University), Jana Nuss (girls lacrosse/Saint Leo University), Richard “Gino” Nave (boys lacrosse/Capital University), Mackenzie Rotay (girls lacrosse/George Washington), Clare Johns (softball/Keystone College) and Harrison Schlachta (baseball/Penn College of Technology).

Lauren Keyte, Field Hockey, Quinnipiac Univ.

Perkiomen Valley field hockey player Lauren Keyte has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at Quinnipiac University, where she will major in occupational therapy. Her parents are Steve and Stefanie Keyte.

Mackenzie Hanlon, Girls Lacrosse, University of Colorado Boulder

Perkiomen Valley girls lacrosse player Mackenzie Hanlon has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at University of Colorado Boulder, where she will major in sports marketing/management. Her parents are Andrew and Tara Hanlon.

Kayla Minkon, Field Hockey, East Stroudsburg University

Perkimoen Valley field hockey player Kayla Minkon has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at East Stroudsburg University. Her parents are Steve and Alison Minkon.

Chloe Miller, Field Hockey, University of New Hampshire

Perkiomen Valley field hockey player Chloe Miller has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at the University of New Hampshire. Her parents are Samantha Miller and Christopher Miller.

Owen Slack, Boys Soccer, West Chester Univ.

Perkiomen Valley boys soccer player Owen Slack has committed to continue his academic and athletic careers at West Chester University, where he will major in statistics. His parents are Jamie and Steve Slack.

Aidan McCabe, Boys Lacrosse, Manhattan College

Perkiomen Valley boys lacrosse player Aidan McCabe has committed to continue his academic and athletic careers at Manhattan College, where he will major in biology. His parents are Mike and Celina McCabe.

Luke Cichetti, Boys Lacrosse, Widener Univ.

Perkiomen Valley boys lacrosse player Luke Cichetti has committed to continue his academic and athletic careers at Widener University, where he will major in Biology/Pre-Physical Therapy. His parents are Patty Ann Cichetti, Dan Cichetti.

Jordyne Stong, Field Hockey, Desales Univ.

Perkiomen Valley field hockey player Jordyne Stong has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at DeSales University, where she will major in marketing. Her parents are Stacey and Doug Stong.

Jack Colyer, Baseball, Ithaca College

Perkiomen Valley baseball player Jack Colyer has committed to continue his academic and athletic careers at Ithaca College, where he will major in finance. His parents are Robb Colyer and Erin Colyer.

Savannah Silvestre, Field Hockey, Shippensburg Univ.

Perkiomen Valley field hockey player Savannah Silvestre has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at Shippensburg University, where she will major in business management & communications. Her parents are Lisa and David Silvestre.

Tyler Boccelli, Baseball, University of Valley Forge 

Perkiomen Valley baseball player Tyler Boccelli will continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Vally Forge Baseball, where he will major in sports management. His parents are David and Jennifer Boccelli.

Julia Downing, Field Hockey, Bellarmine Univ.

Perkiomen Valley field hockey player Julia Downing has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellarmine University, where she will major in exercise science. Her parents are Keith and Laura Downing.

Sam Grayauskie, Swimming, East Stroudsburg University

Perkiomen Valley swimmer Sam Grayauskie will continue her academic and athletic careers at East Stroudsburg University, where she will major in early childhood education. Her parents are Jennifer Grayauskie and Steve Grayauskie.

Jana Nuss, Girls Lacrosse, Saint Leo Univ.

Richard “Gino” Nave, Boys Lacrosse, Capital Univ.

Clare Johns, Softball, Keystone College
