Stringer pitches Pottsgrove past Upper Perkiomen

Pottsgrove 2, Upper Perkiomen 1 >> Lucas Stringer threw six strong innings of six-hit, one-run ball to lift Pottsgrove over Upper Perk in a PAC Frontier Division battle.

Adam Girafalco and Spencer Mitchell had two hits apiece as part of the Falcons’ six-hit attack. Bailey Delp scored both runs, including the decisive score in the fifth inning. Alex Stump got the save in a scoreless seventh inning with a walk and a strikeout.

Nolan Graber doubled twice for Upper Perk but took the mound loss. He went six innings where he gave up six hits and two earned runs and struck out eight.

Boyertown 10, Owen J. Roberts 9 >> The Bears rallied from two runs down with a seven-run seventh inning en route to a PAC win over the Wildcats.

Quinn Mason and Mitchell Peers finished with three hits apiece while Jake DiCesare had a hit and three RBI. Josh Siket paced OJR going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.

Methacton 7, Norristown 3 >> Ben Christian pitched all seven innings of the Warriors’ PAC Liberty Division win over the Eagles.

Griffin held Norristown to three runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks. Conor Smith finished 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI while Danny Visnov was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Tyler Pastella finished 2-for-3 for Norristown.

Upper Merion 5, Pope John Paul II 4 >> The Vikings staged a five-run rally during the fifth inning en route to a PAC Frontier Division win over the Golden Panthers.

Matthew Choi finished with two RBI and a run scored and picked up the win on the mound with five innings of work. PJP rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh as Ryan Schwab had two RBI and Colt Narciso had two hits.

Exeter 8, Daniel Boone 1 >> The Eagles crossed three runs in both the second and third innings on their way to a Berks Conference I win over the Blazers. Joe Fylypowcyz finished 2-for-3 with four RBI while Alex Barlow was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple. Chase Lacey knocked in Matt Stevens for Boone’s lone RBI.

Perkiomen School 4, Lower Moreland 3 >> Chris Pow’s bases-loaded single with one out in the bottom of the seventh lifted Perkiomen to a non-league win.

The Panthers also got run-scoring hits from Tyson Butcher and Sam Glavin. Butcher drove in Jayden Kemp (double) in the second inning while Glavin’s double drove in David Smith in the fourth inning before LM tied the game 3-3 in the sixth.

Nick Guaddarrama was credited with the win in support of starter David Smith (4 1/3 innings, five hits, one run, five strikeouts, four walks).
