Methacton 4, Phoenixville 1 >> Balanced offense was key to the Warriors opening their PAC-10 schedule with an extra-inning victory over the Phantoms.
Sam Weil-Kasper (2-for-4), Emily Kuberski, Paulina Lowery and Dani Duda each drove in runs while accounting for a majority of Methacton’s eight hits. The difference for the Warriors was three runs in the top of the eighth, after the Phantoms tied things up with their lone run in the seventh.
Winning pitcher Megan Stauffer threw a four-hitter, yielding a lone run in the seventh and one walk against six strikeouts. Jess Eldridge ended up a two-way leader for Phoenixville, going 2-for-3 at the plate and pitching a four-strikeout complete game.
