Highlights: An elite pitching battle between Pottsgrove’s Mikayla Eckman and Upper Perk’s Madalyn Dyer was finally decided when Kaylyn Adair scored on an infield single from Maddie Deeble in the ninth inning to lift Frontier Division first place Upper Perk.
Dyer scattered eight hits over nine shutout innings, striking out 13. Eckman impressed over 8.2 innings, striking out 17 while allowing eight hits and the lone extra-inning run.
Ashley Forrest (double, 3-for-4) and Darby Gasda (2-for-4) supplied the bulk of the UP offense.
Avery Gleason and Hailey Pysher had two hits each for Pottsgrove.
