Last year’s record: 7-11 PAC-10, 8-12 overall.
Players to watch: Jamie Deni, Sr., 2B (DNP last season); Kelly Knapp, Sr., 3B (.354 BA; All-Area Honorable Mention); Lainey Michaud, Sr,, SS (.326 BA); Jessica Eldridge, Jr., P (.304 BA).
Outlook: Phantoms saw a noticeable improvement, winning eight games compared to four in Anderson’s first season. Eldridge will be the Phantoms’ go-to in the circle with Knapp returning after earning All-Area Honorable Mention honors last season. Michaud, committed to Bryant University, looks to stay healthy for her senior season along with Deni, who returns after missing all of last season due to injury. “This season we are looking to compete in the PAC and hopefully earn ourselves a spot in the district tournament,” Anderson said. “We are looking to capitalize on the lessons we learned from last season and use them to our benefit this season. We have a young team with only three seniors but we are looking to be competitive in each and every game.”
