Murray just perfect as TCA falls in final

The Christian Academy ran into a buzzsaw in its final game as a member of the Tri-State Christian Athletic Conference.

Baptist Regional pitcher Mary Pat Murray was untouchable in the conference softball championship game Saturday at Cairn University.

Murray tossed a perfect game as the Warriors blanked the Crusaders, 5-0.

Murray fanned 16 of the 21 batters she faced to keep TCA (13-6) from winning its first TSCAC title since 2009.

TCA pitcher Carly Ryle had a solid game. She allowed five hits, fanned five and walked one.
