Mercury roundup (Sept. 12): Perkiomen Valley boys soccer closes out suspended game over Upper Perkiomen
BOYS SOCCER

Highlights: Both teams picked up after a lightning-suspended game, by which point the contest was tied 1-1. The Vikings struck first with a goal from Matteo LoRegio before Matthew Fisher’s equalizer for Upper Perkiomen created an even field to be picked up on Tuesday.
When action resumed, Perkiomen pulled away with another three goals from Nathan Brown (assist), Andrew Bricker and LoRegio. Chris Saboe-Moore tallied two assists. The Vikings outshot the Tribe 8-3 and held a 5-1 advantage in corners.

Highlights: Goals from Margaret Holloway and Sophia Hogan lifted the Blazers in a shutout win over Conrad Weiser. Grace Buckwalter and Holloway provided assists. Leah Elliott came up with 14 saves for Conrad Weiser and Rece Golab made five between he pipes for Daniel Boone.

Highlights: Sasha Goldberg, Sophia Fletcher, Giuliana DiPrinzio and Julia Saraniti all found the back of the net for the Blues in a shutout.
