Sara Edwards ran onto a long ball from Sam Kozminski and sent a half-volley over the keeper’s head for the game’s only goal as the Indians knocked off defending PAC champ Spring-Ford 1-0.  While Upper Perk’s high scoring attack has often overshadowed their defensive play throughout the season, the defense came up big this evening, with center backs Lindsay Bieler and Elizabeth Proctor, along with outside backs Erin Edwards and Elyse Kreiner had a terrific game as the Indians notched their 14th shutout of the season.  Goalkeeper Gabby Neal had a terrific game for Upper Perk, registering 11 saves to preserve the victory.  Upper Perk advances to Thursday’s final against Owen J Roberts, a 2-1 winner of Pottsgrove.  The two teams were the league’s Liberty and Frontier division champs during the regular season.
