Sara Edwards redirect a free kick from Lauren Powers for the game’s only goal as the Indians captured the District I AAA championship witha 1-0 victory over Bishop Shanahan.  Upper Perk created numerous scoring chances  early in the game, but Shanahan held tight before conceding the goal in the 34th minute.  The second half same several good scoring chances for each game, but Upper Perk’s defense of Powers, Elizabeth Proctor, Erin Edwards and Elyse Kreiner held strong to record the team’s 10th shutout of the season.   Both goalkeepers (Ava Long for Upper Perk and Sage Baillargeon for Bishop Shanahan) recorded 7 saves in the game.  The win improved the Indians to 22-0-1, adding the District title to their PAC league championshi
