Pope John Paul II 1, Upper Perkiomen 0 >> Sophia Hinke had the game’s lone goal Wednesday, lifting the Golden Panthers over the Indians in PAC Frontier Division play.

Lainey Owens was credited with the assist on Hinke’s goal. PJP had a great defensive effort led by Erin Flanagan, solid play from the midfield anchored by Julia Hull and Emily Hughes and forwards Owens and Lauryn Rezza putting pressure on the UP defense all day. Stacy Kormos gained the shutout with eight saves.
