Scibello shines as Interboro grabs share of Del Val soccer title
Nicole Scibello led the way as Interboro grabbed at least a share of the Del Val League girls soccer title with an 8-2 victory over Penn Wood Monday afternoon.
Scibello scored three times for the Bucs (6-6 overall, 4-0 Del Val) , who can win the title outright with a victory over Chichester at home Wednesday.
Morgan Reed, Keri Barnett, Faith Sabre, Jada Little and Brenna Barker added one goal each. Martina Sterling and Awa Dicko tallied one goal apiece for the Patriots.
In the Catholic League:
Cardinal O’Hara 4, Bonner & Prendergast 1 >> Marissa Lobb found the back of the next twice for the Lions. Alison Ahearn and Julia Mirachi pitched in with one goal each.
Bree Kyle had the lone goal for the Pandas while goalie Kelli Curran made 22 saves.
Archbishop Carroll 4, Neumann-Goretti 0 >> Goalies Nicolette Cashin and Jasmine Vega did not have to make a save to post the combined shutout. Paige Mastripolito, Sabrina Narda, Nicholette Cashin and Sumayyah Watson provided the offense with one goal each.
