Mercury Girls Soccer Roundup: PJP blanks Norristown

Pope John Paul II 7, Norristown 0 >> Mary Kate Shannon scored two goals to lead the Golden Panthers’ shutout of the Eagles in their PAC divisional crossover game Thursday.

Amaya Ransom, Lauren Ciuba, Sophia Lattanze, Ella Rapchinski and Sarah Jamison (penalty kick) had PJP’s other tallies. Audrey Moroz, Julia Hull, Lauren Ciuba, Julia McLaughlin, Kayla Ciuba and Stephanie Marinelli were credited with assists, and Estsephany Hiquedo had a 14-save day in goal for Norristown.

Boyertown 5, Pottstown 0 >> Samantha Goffice had a goal and an assist while leading the Bears to a PAC crossover victory over Pottstown at The Hill School.

Also scoring for Boyertown (4-3-1) were Sam Elwell, Maddy Monka, Kayley Mattis and Lauren Moccia. Aimee Toscano and Bria Smith were credited with assists.

Fleetwood 2, Daniel Boone 0 >> Rebekah Earnest and Leilah Sallee scored in each half and the Tigers posted their fourth consecutive shutout against the Blazers in their Berks Conference game.

Jenna Heasley had three saves for Boone.
