Forbes’ goal is a winner for Strath Haven
Maggie Forbes collected a goal and an assist in the span of seven minutes to lift Strath Haven to a 3-1 triumph over Lower Merion in Central League girls soccer action Thursday.
Forbes fed Gianna Zweier for the equalizer in the 26th minute and then put home the go-ahead goal in the 33rd minute.
Devon Maillet added an insurance tally in the 36th minute to put the game away for the Panthers (5-0, 2-0).

Ridley 1, Penncrest 0 >> Erika Kitzinger scored off an assist from fullback Katie Mason to give the Raiders (3-2, 1-1) the victory.
Goalie Bryn McLaughlin made three saves for the Lions (1-2-2, 0-1-1).
In the Catholic League:
Archbishop Carroll 10, Bishop McDevitt 2 >> Paige Mastripolito had a hat trick and Jaelynne Bethua scored a pair of goals as the Patriots (3-2, 3-0) remained unbeaten in league play.
Cardinal O’Hara 8, Neumann-Goretti 0 >> The Lions, who led 5-0 at halftime, received a goal from eight different players including Julia Stellabotte, Zyianna Wilmer and Ellie Miller.
In the Del Val League:
Interboro 7, Chichester 0 >> Cassidy Chadwick tallied a hat trick and an assist while Keri Barnett added a goal and four assists for the Bucs.
Maddie Anastasia made 13 saves for the Eagles.
In nonleague action:
Christian Academy 6, Baptist Regional 1 >> Grace Gormley and Evelyn Brittain scored two goals each while Dezeree Carter and Carlie Mannion had one goal each in propelling TCA to its first win of the year.
