The Hill Girls’ Lacrosse team traveled to Blair Academy for their second MAPL contest of the year. After the two hour plus bus ride, Hill came out sluggish with some passing and shooting errors. Blair was able to take the 2-0 lead before Tatumn Eccleston ’19 was able to get Hill on the board just about 10 minutes into the game. The first half continued to be a back and forth contests with both sides getting decent looks on net. Mariah Sweeney ’19 had a solid game in net making nine saves. While the first half wasn’t pretty for Hill, the second half was a full 180. Hill was able to control the draw, clean up their decisions on the attack and transition, and had a great defensive stand keeping Blair to only one goal. On the day, Hill, again for the fourth time out of their five games, had seven different goal scorers. As the final whistle blew, Hill celebrated the 12-5 victory, making them 3-2 for the season and 1-1 in MAPL play. The squad returns home on Saturday night at 6PM to compete in their third MAPL matchup against Mercersburg Academy.
