Upper Dublin 11, Plymouth Whitemarsh 4 >> Tristan Cairnes was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs and also threw six innings to earn the win as Upper Dublin scored nine runs in the final three frames to pull away in the SOL Liberty matchup Friday.
Kyle Rizzo finished 2-for-3 with a double, Nick Harley was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored for the Cardinals (3-2, 3-1 division). Leo Soriano went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Nick Lombardo and Jared Levis both scored twice.
Lincoln Sharpe hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh for Plymouth Whitemarsh (3-2, 0-2).
Leading 2-1, UD scored three runs in the top of the fifth on a Cairnes RBI double, Harley RBI single and Soriano RBI double.
The Cards then made it 10-1 with a five-run sixth with a Cairnes RBI single, Ethan Madnick RBI sacrifice fly, RBI singles from David Sharp and Soriano and a bases-loaded Joe Levis walk. Harley added an RBI single in the top of the seventh.
Cairnes allowed one run — earned — on two hits in six innings on the mound. He walked two and struck out six.
Hatboro-Horsham 5, Central Bucks South 4 (8 inns) >> Jack Elwell hit a walk-off RBI triple in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Hatboro-Horsham a SOL nondivision victory over visiting Central Bucks South.
Trey Porter was 3-for-4 with a double and run scored while Will Bruner had two RBIs for the Hatters (3-2, 2-0 SOL Liberty), who have won two straight.
In the bottom of eighth, Porter hit a one-out single then scored when Elwell triple to right on the next at-bat.
Ryan Toporowski pitched the last 4 1/3 innings for HH to earn the win, giving up no runs, one hit, one walks and striking out five.
Colin Mitchell was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored for the CB South (0-3, 0-2 SOL Colonial). Braeden Black went 2-for-4 with a run scored while Logan Hinds had two RBIs.
Trailing 3-1, Hatboro-Horsham plated three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-3 lead – Bruner hitting an RBI single, Elwell scoring as Cole Fisher reached on an error then Nick Katherine connecting on an RBI single.
CB South knotted things 4-4 in the top of the fourth on a Bryce Bell RBI single.
Softball
Methacton 2, Upper Merion 1 >> Nicole Timko went 2-for-2 with a double and home run as Methacton edged host Upper Merion in the PAC matchup.
Timko hit a solo homer in the top of the second with the Warriors going up 2-0 on Tori Bockrath’s RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth.
Vanessa Hutchinson was 3-for-4 while Molly Gilliland finished 2-for-3 with a run scored for Upper Merion.
Methacton’s Megan Lineen earned the win in the circle, allowing one run — earned — on 10 hits in a complete-game effort. She struck out four and did not give up a walk. UM pitcher Ava DiDonato took the loss, allowing two runs — both earned — on seven hits in seven innings. She walked one and struck out two.
Boys Lacrosse
North Penn 14, Council Rock South 3 >> Jake Dolan and Connor Toussaint both finished with three goals and an assist as North Penn used a strong first half to claim a fourth straight victory.
Lars Homan had two goals and an assist while Caiden Myers scored twice for the Knights (4-2, 2-0 SOL National), who led 5-0 after the first quarter then 9-1 at halftime.
Jake Myers recorded a goal and an assist with Caleb Moister, Billy Homony and Declan Lanier each scoring a goal. NP goalie Matt Kuhn made five saves.
Upper Merion 13, Phoenixville 1 >> Casey Lamey scored seven goals and handed out a pair of assists as Upper Merion tallied all 13 of its goals in the first half in rolling to a PAC win.
Kevin Roseland had a goal and four assists while Collin McCormick collected two goals and three assists for the Vikings, who led 9-0 at the end of the first quarter. Lincoln Jones had two goals and an assist, Justin Besz had a goal and two assists while Brayden Marino dished out an assist.
Ryan Becker was 11-of-13 of faceoffs for UM with goalies Rocco Lindelow and Nathan Uhl each making one save.
Upper Dublin 9, Hatboro-Horsham 6 >> Brett Callahan had three goals and an assist, Jackson Simons scored three times while goalie Nate Fechter made 14 saves as Upper Dublin held off Hatboro-Horsham for a fourth win in a row.
Vijay Foster recorded two goals while Al Eby chipped in a goal for the Cardinals (5-1, 3-0 SOL American), who led 5-4 at halftime before scoring the only goal in the third. The Hatters (3-2, 0-2 SOL American) lost their second straight.
Council Rock North 15, Pennridge 10 >> Frankie Fanelli paced Pennridge with five goals as the Rams could not rally in the second half and fell in the SOL National contest.
Luke Lenox had two goals and two assists, Ben Souder won 22-of-26 faceoffs while goalie Kieran Banks made 12 saves for Pennridge (0-5, 0-2 conference). Drew Ferguson and Ryan Carickhoff both had a goal and assists while Matt Seiler added a goal.
Council Rock North (6-1, 2-1) led 9-7 at halftime then tallied the only two goals in the third to go up four.
Girls Lacrosse
Upper Merion 15, Pope John Paul II 3 >> Brooke Olsen totaled three goals and three assists while Julianna Callison scored four times as Upper Merion rolled past Pope John Paul II for a PAC win.
Riley Robinson had two goals and two assists with Melissa McCabe and Audrey Schuebel both finished with two goals and an assist for the Vikings, who led 8-1 at halftime.
Sam Walmsley and Ashley Evitts each collected a goal and an assist for UM while Chelsea Smith had an assist. Morgan Puglisi made seven saves with Avery Fox registering four saves.
Pope John Paul’s Marissa Memo had two goals while Ava Zepp added a goal and an assist.
Archbishop Carroll 11, Bishop Shanahan 8 >> Kiley Mottice had three goals, two assists and three draw controls Ava Bleckley finished with three goals and five draw controls and Archbishop Carroll outscored Bishop Shanahan 5-2 in the nonleague contest’s second half to remain undefeated.
Emma Talago and Chloe Bleckley both tallied two goals while Cate McConaghy had a goal and an assist for the Patriots (6-0, 2-0 PCL). Shannon Wood and Machaela Henry each had an assist, Sienna Golden collected a draw control and goalie Bridget Robinson made five saves.
Caitlyn Hubiak and Ellie Udo both scored three goals for Shanahan. Sophia Lymberis and Silvia Baptista each had a goal. Goalkeeper Cece Newman had four saves.

Methacton 6, Pottsgrove 1 >> Methacton’s Dylan Wen and Nolan N’Goran earned straight-set victories at first and third singles, respectively while the Warriors swept doubles in claiming a PAC win over Pottstown.
