Cox’s helpers lift Radnor past Archbishop Carroll
Cate Cox handed out five assists and scored a goal as Radnor took down neighborhood rival Archbishop Carroll, 10-8, in a nonleague girls lacrosse game Thursday.
Tori DiCarlo notched a hat trick, and Molly May added two goals for the Raiders. Elise Palmer and Phoebe Proctor combined for nine saves.
Madison Henry scored four times, Kellie Ann Matey netted twice and Alex Almonte tallied three assists. Amber Germer paired a goal with two assists for Carroll (13-4), which got 13 saves from Julia Dellarata.
In other nonleague action:
Haverford 18, Merion Mercy 9 >> Willa Hetznecker buried a career-high seven goals, and Mia Ciancio collected five goals with seven draw controls to pace the Fords. Lauren Johns turned aside 11 shots.
Sonja Bjornson had four goals to lead MMA.
Springfield 14, Cardinal O’Hara 3 >> Alyssa Long and Erin Gormley each notched hat tricks as the Cougars (13-5) romped in the battle of Springfield. Casey O’Connor, Belle Mastropietro and Olivai Pace scored twice apiece, and Dana Mirigliano and Rachel Conran combined for 12 saves.
Erin Grady, Kenzie Raech and Rachel Familetti scored for O’Hara.
Marple Newtown 20, Chichester 8 >> Kaely Cristello scored six goals, and Sarah Cristello (three goals, three assists) had a hand in six goals as the Tigers (4-14) won their finale. Kylie Gioia and Olivia Ebersole each tallied hat tricks for the Tigers.
Bella Esposito paced Chichester with three goals. Mackenzie Sendek and Olivia Esposito scored twice each for the Eagles.
Delco Christian 10, Barrack Hebrew Academy 10 >> Johanna Fitzgerald scored six goals and added two assists, and Monica Lebaudy tallied a hat trick, but there was no separating the teams.
Friends Central 15, Bonner & Prendergast 11 >> Lindsey Fagan scored five goals to go with an assist, and Rachel Doubet added two goals, but the Pandas fell in a game late Wednesday. Chloe Menear made 11 stops in goal.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Coatesville 18, Sun Valley 6 >> Abby Seasock, Carli Komorowski and Aliceia Whitfield scored twice apiece, and Komorowski tacked on an assist but the Vanguards fell. Sun Valley’s Meg Grant made 16 saves.
