Reporter Girls Lacrosse Roundup: Souderton, Abington, Upper Dublin earn SOL American wins
Randi Hess and Riley McGowan both scored five goals as the Souderton girls lacrosse team edged visiting Hatboro-Horsham 11-10 for an SOL American Conference victory Monday.
McGowan also chipped in an assist while Kylie Norbeck also had a goals for the Indians (5-5, 2-2 conference), who won their second straight. Souderton goalkeeper Lauren Scott made eight saves. Hatboro-Horsham (4-5, 1-3) had its two-game win streak snapped.
Abington 11, Springfield-Montco 6 >> Jamira Mashore handed out four assists, Kaley Ehnow and Shea Gormley both scored three times and Abington stayed undefeated in the SOL American with a road win over Springfield-Montco.
Abby Thomas added two goals, Abby Johnson had a goal and two assists while Ellie Hughes made 10 saves for the Galloping Ghosts (6-2, 3-0 conference), who led 6-3 at halftime. Springfield (4-4, 1-3) dropped its second straight.
Upper Dublin 15, Cheltenham 2 >> Upper Dublin had 11 players scored at least one goal – Mack Moore, Becky Browndorf, Caroline Kohlbrenner and Jackie Rama each with two goals – as the Cardinals rolled to the SOL American win.
Mack Moore added two assists for UD (6-4, 3-1 conference), which has won two straight and five of its past six. Chrissa Dorley and Kayla Brockington each had a goal for Cheltenham.
