Reporter Girls Lacrosse Roundup: McCarry’s last-second goal sends Upper Dublin past Boyertown
Jenn McCarry scored the game winner with just one second left as Upper Dublin rallied in the second half to edge Boyertown 18-17 in non-league shootout Friday.
Mack Moore had a big day for the Cardinals (3-3, 1-0 SOL American), tallying seven goals while also handing out five assists. UD’s Becky Browndorf finished with four goals and an assist.
McCarry and Jackie Rama both posted three goals and an assist and Julia Reardon chipped in two goals for the Cardinals, which trailed 12-11 at halftime.
Amanda Diachynsky and Erin Gilbert both scored five goals to pace Boyertown.
Methacton 8, Central Bucks West 7 (OT) >> Methacton’s Sydney Tornetta scored at the buzzer to force overtime and Jayme Weber found the back of the net with 2:06 left in the extra period to give the Warriors the non-league win.
Tornetta finished with two goals and three assists with Katy Baton adding a pair of goals for Methacton (5-1, 2-1 PAC Liberty)
Emma Haring had three goals and an assist for CB West (2-2), which also got two goals from Shelby Hahn.
