Last year’s record: 10-3 PAC-10, 15-6 overall.

Players to watch: Seniors: Sara Hughes (attack), Deb Peifer (attack). Juniors: Jackie Cerchio (midfield), Daria Lucchesi (midfield).

Outlook: Coming off an 11-10 loss to Owen J. Roberts for the PAC-10 title in a game that came down to the wire, the Warriors will likely be itching to get back again this season. They’ll return plenty of experience including First Teamers Cerchio (Temple commit) and Hughes (St. Joseph’s). Lucchesi (James Madison) and Peifer (Manhattan) also highlight a Methacton program that advanced to the first round of districts last season. “We have some new faces mixed with experience which should help to blend a very exciting team,” said Markle. “We look forward to the challenges the PAC-10 will give us as there is a lot more parity in the league this year. We hope to improve on our record of last year and go further in districts.” Seniors Kate Markle and Julia Cook will bring experience to the Warriors’ defensive front as the team replaces four-year starting goalie Sam Rothman.
