Sheehan, Nihill lead O’Hara past Notre Dame
Mary Sheehan and Hannah Nihill led the way for Cardinal O’Hara, the No. 1-ranked team in Delaware County, in a 51-35 nonleague girls basketball victory over Academy of Notre Dame in the annual Kevin Cain Foundation game Saturday.
Sheehan, a sophomore forward, netted 12 of her game-high 14 points in the first half, which saw the Lions (15-2) score 20 points in the opening eight minutes. Nihill, a sophomore guard, added 11 points and freshman guard Molly Paolino added eight points for O’Hara.
