POTTSTOWN—On a night when The Hill School girls’ basketball program honored its seniors, those seniors continued be the program’s catalysts as the Blues downed Baldwin School, 46-33, on Gillison Court Wednesday evening.
Qiana Vigo ignited the Hill offense by scoring 18 of her game-high 20 points in the first half, when Hill sprinted to a 30-16 advantage. Vigo’s first-half eruption included three 3-pointers.
Appropriately on Senior Night, each one of Hill’s six seniors factored into the win. Olivia Matto chipped in with eight points, including a pair of treys, and Violet Robertson played strong defense on the perimeter.
Meanwhile, forwards Alexa Giacche (five points), Amelia Sniffin (four points) and Luisa Slomp were forces in the paint on both ends of the court.
With the win, Hill closes out its regular season with a record of 13-9. Next up is the first round of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League Girls’ Basketball Tournament when the third-seeded Blues will face tournament host
Peddie School — the sixth seed — on Friday at 3:15 p.m.
