Recap
The Hill School girls’ basketball team had four players reach double figures in points as it rolled to a 54-29 victory over Anacostia High School on the final day of the 2018 Bullis Holiday Classic on Sunday.
In addition to a balanced offense, the Blues played stifling defense, holding Anacostia to just nine first-half points.
For Hill, senior Qiana Vigo and sophomore Cynthia Williams put up 15 points apiece. They were followed by seniors Alexa Giacche and Olivia Matto, who both scored 11 points. All of Matto’s points came in the
first half as the Blues jetted out to a 36-9 advantage at the break.
With the win, Hill halts a four-game skid and improves to 4-5 on the season. The Blues return home to face Friends Central on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
