Neveyah Chester drained a foul line jumper as time expired to give the Coatesville Girls’ Basketball team a 60-58 win over Unionville in the Ches-Mont Challenge at West Chester Henderson. Chester’s shot capped a furious 4th quarter comeback as the Raiders rallied from a 10-point deficit with 4 minutes to go. In a tie game, Unionville inbounded under their own basket with 6 seconds to go. Guarding the inbounder, Chester deflected the pass to teammate Danae Ellzy, who dove for and recovered the loose ball, passing to Chester who pushed the ball upcourt for her game winner. Chester led all scorers with 29 points. Alexia Brown paced Unionville with 20 points, shooting 14/19 from the foul line. Unionville made 30 out of 40 free throws in the loss. Coatesville evens their record at 1-1, while Unionville falls to 0-2.
