A quartet of seniors paced The Hill School girls’ basketball team during a strong first half as the Blues cruised to a 46-27 victory over Agnes Irwin School on Hill’s Gillison Court on Thursday afternoon.
Olivia Matto scored 11 of her game-high 13 points in the first half, and Alexa Giacche added all seven of hers to lead Hill to a 33-14 halftime advantage. Classmates Qiana Vigo and Amelia Sniffin were also productive in the first half, with five and four points, respectively. Vigo finished the game with 10 points and Sniffin with seven. With the win, the Blues are now 3-1 on the season. They will next travel to Virginia where they will face Paul VI Catholic in the Art Turner Memorial showcase on Sunday.
