The Reporter Week 7 Preview Capsules

Here is a look at the seven games on the local high school football schedule for Week Seven.

Conwell-Egan at Lansdale Catholic
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Hatboro-Horsham High School
On the Air: The game will be broadcast live on the radio on 1440 AM and live on the internet at wnpv.1440.com.

Records: The Crusaders come into this one 4-2 overall, including a 1-1 mark in the Philadelphia Catholic League Class AA. Egan is also 4-2 overall and is 1-0 in the PCL Class AA.
Last Week: The Crusaders earned a 20-6 victory over Bishop McDevitt while the Eagles fell 42-14 to Episcopal Academy.
Last Year: LC held on for a 7-6 win over Egan.
Players to Watch: Ryan Quigley and Marlen Fenstermacher have been a tough duo to stop for LC, while Egan quarterback Kendall Jones can get it done with his arm — and his legs.
Prediction: Lansdale Catholic 28, Conwell-Egan 21.

North Penn at Bensalem
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Bensalem High School.

Records: The Knights are 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the Suburban One League National Conference. The Owls are 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the SOL National.
What’s at Stake: The Knights continue the conference race, tied with Pennsbury for top honors.
Last Week: North Penn dominated in a 39-14 victory over Souderton Area. Bensalem had a tough time with Pennsbury, falling 52-12.
Last Year: The Knights rolled 58-13 in their meeting with the Owls.
Players to Watch: Quarterback Reece Udinski is coming off his finest performance of the season for North Penn. Bensalem back Malcolm Carey has some decent breakaway speed.
Prediction: North Penn 49, Bensalem 8.

Pennsbury at Pennridge
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Helman Field, Pennridge High School.

Records: The Falcons come into this one 5-1 overall, including a 3-0 mark in the SOL National. The Rams are 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the SOL National.
Last Week: Pennsbury was a 52-12 winner over Bensalem while Pennridge went on the road and won 38-15 over Abington.
Last Year: The Falcons were on the winning end of a 41-14 decision over the Rams.
Players to Watch: Falcons halfback Daulton Hose is a dangerous back when he gets to the open field. Pennridge back Judens Desosiers continues to contribute in big ways for the Rams.
Prediction: Pennsbury 28, Pennridge 14.

Souderton Area at Neshaminy
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Harry E. Franks Stadium, Neshaminy High School
Records: Souderton Area is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the SOL National. The Skins are 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the SOL National.
Last Week: Big Red fell 39-14 to North Penn on the road. Neshaminy won 21-14 over Central Bucks South.
Last Year: Neshaminy took the annual battle, 29-10, over Big Red.
Players to Watch: Will Dogba is a workhorse back for the Skins who can be counted on in the big moments. Blake Gular runs hard in the Souderton Wing-T attack.
Prediction: Neshaminy 27, Souderton Area 13

Quakertown at Central Bucks West
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at War Memorial Field, Central Bucks West High School
Records: The Panthers are 6-0, including a 3-0 mark in the SOL Continental. The Bucks are 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the SOL Continental.
What’s at Stake: The Panthers want to stay on pace with Council Rock South for first place in the conference.
Last Week: Quakertown blanked Truman 42-0. The Bucks lost 50-15 to Council Rock South.
Last Year: The Panthers prevailed 27-7 against West.
Players to Watch: Quakertown quarterback Tom Garlick has the Panthers on a roll. West has a consistent running game that includes an elusive runner in Griffin Shields.
Prediction: Quakertown 35, CB West 21.

Hatboro-Horsham at Wissahickon
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Wissahickon High School
Records: The Hatters are 3-3 overall and 3-0 in the SOL American. The Trojans are 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the SOL American.
What’s at Stake: A win here keeps Hatboro at least tied with Upper Dublin for first in the conference.
Last Week: Hatboro won its third straight, 63-21, over Springfield-Montco. Wissahickon lost for the fifth week in a row, 49-0 to Upper Dublin.
Last Year: Hatboro was on the winning end, 28-14, over Wiss.
Players to Watch: The Hatters’ versatile ground game includes Robert Fitzgerald, Casey Walsh, and Kingsley Nworu, while Wiss will aim to counter with the aerial exploits of quarterback Mike Marino.
Prediction: Hatboro-Horsham 24, Wissahickon 14.

Methacton at Pottsgrove
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Pottsgrove
Records: The Warriors are 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference. The Falcons are 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the PAC 10.
Last Week: Methacton lost 38-13 to Boyertown. It was also a tough one for the Falcons, who fell 22-13 to Spring-Ford.
Last Year: Methacton was on the winning end versus the Falcons, 20-7.
Players to Watch: Wyatt Porter is a productive guy in the running attack and passing attack for the Falcons. Methacton has quarterback Jason Eckman to get the offense going.
Prediction: Pottsgrove 26, Methacton 17.
