Boys’ Latin at Archbishop Carroll
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Archbishop Carroll High School.
Records: Boys’ Latin is 1-0 overall (0-0 Philadelphia Public League National Conference). Archbishop Carroll is 2-0 overall (0-0 Philadelphia Catholic League Blue Division).
Last Week: Boys’ Latin’s game last Thursday against Olney was postponed due to high temperatures. Archbishop Carroll’s offense eclipsed 50 points for the first time since 2008 in its 54-28 win over New Jersey’s Seton Hall Prep last Friday.
Players to Watch: In Boys’ Latin’s 50-0 win over Prep Charter Aug. 24, quarterback Malik threw for 195 and three touchdowns while also running for 121 yards and another score. Carroll quarterback Russel Minor-Shaw threw for three touchdowns in each of the last two weeks.
Prediction: Archbishop Carroll 38, Boys’ Latin 27.

Central Bucks West at Quakertown
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Alumni Field, Quakertown Community High School.
Records: Central Bucks West is 1-1 overall (0-0 SOL Continental). Quakertown is 2-0 overall (0-0 SOL American)
Last Week: CB West was edged by Council Rock South 10-7 in overtime last Friday. Quakertown scored the final 21 points to beat Souderton 28-14 last Friday.
Last Meeting: CB West shut out Quakertown 20-0 in Week 3 last season.
Players to Watch: Syracuse commit Luke Benson had CB West’s lone touchdown in the loss to CR South, hauling in a 4-yard pass from Jack Neri. In the Souderton win, Quakertown QB Brad Bryan threw for 131 yards and a TD while also rushing for 74 yards and another score on 15 carries.
Prediction: Quakertown 24, Central Bucks West 21.

Chichester at Pope John Paul II
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Conshohocken A Field.
Records: Chichester is 2-0 overall (0-0 Del-Val League). Pope John Paul II is 2-0 overall (0-0 PAC Frontier Division).
Last Week: Chichester defeated Kennett 25-6 last Friday. Pope John Paul II defeated New Hope-Solebury 39-27 last Friday with the Golden Panthers scoring all of their points in the second half.
Last Meeting: PJP II edged the Eagles 21-20 in overtime in Week 3 of last year.
Players to Watch: Chichester’s Shaheem Pleasant ran for a pair of touchdowns – the first score from 65 yards out – as the Eagles topped Kennett. Golden Panthers quarterback Kamal Gray had five touchdowns – three pass, two rushing – in the win over New Hope-Solebury.
Prediction: Pope John Paul II 27, Chichester 16

Lansdale Catholic at Wissahickon
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Wissahickon High School.

Records: Lansdale Catholic is 0-1 overall (0-0 PCL Blue Division). Wissahickon is 0-2 overall (0-0 SOL American).
Last Week: Lansdale opened the season with a 35-21 loss to Penn Charter last Saturday in Ocean City, New Jersey. Wissahickon was shut out for the second straight game, falling to Council Rock North 34-0 last Friday.
Players to Watch: Danny Dutkiewicz paced the LC ground attack last week against Penn Charter, collecting 96 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Six-foot-5 senior receiver Maurice Willis could be a factor in the Trojans air attack.
Prediction: Lansdale Catholic 24, Wissahickon 12.

Methacton at Upper Merion
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Upper Merion.

Records: Methacton is 0-2 overall (0-0 PAC Liberty Division). Upper Merion is 1-1 overall (0-0 PAC Frontier Division).
Last Week: Methacton fell to Pottsgrove 34-0 last Friday. Upper Merion shut out Norristown 10-0 to win the Battle of the Bridge last Friday.
Last Meeting: Friday is the Warriors and Vikings first matchup as PAC members. Their last game came in 2015 with Upper Merion, which was still in the SOL, claiming a 26-10 victory.
Players to Watch: Michael Ciriello led Methacton on the ground last week. The Vikings look for another big game from Zaire Savage after he ran for 175 yards and a score on 38 carries against Norristown.
Prediction: Upper Merion 24, Methacton 7.

Pennridge at Perkiomen Valley
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Thomas J. Keenan Stadium, Perkiomen Valley High School.
Records: Pennridge is 1-1 overall (0-0 SOL Continental). Perkiomen Valley is 0-2 overall (0-0 PAC Liberty Division).
Last Week: Pennridge lost at home to Neshaminy 27-14 last Friday. Perkiomen Valley fell to Downingtown East on the road last Friday 33-21.
Last Meeting: Pennridge shut out Perk Valley twice last season – 29-0 at Pennridge in Week 3 then 25-0 at PV in the District 1-6A quarterfinals.
Players to Watch: Pennridge senior receiver Jonathan Post has five touchdowns catches this season after hauling in a pair last week against Neshaminy. PV quarterback threw for 259 yards in the loss to Downingtown East.
Prediction: Pennridge 28, Perkiomen Valley 26.

Pennsbury at North Penn
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Crawford Stadium, North Penn High School.

Last Week: Pennsbury lost to Penn Wood 32-27 last Friday. North Penn moved to 2-0 for the second time in three seasons with a 21-13 win over La Salle last Friday.
Last Meeting: NP coach Dick Beck improved to 12-0 against Pennsbury when the Knights beat the host Falcons 29-20 in Week 3 last season.
Players to Watch: Pennsbury junior Brad Mickles paced the Falcons in rushing last week with 90 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. North Penn’s Julian White ran for a pair of touchdowns and finished with 71 yards on 12 carries in the La Salle victory.
Prediction: North Penn 35, Pennsbury 21.

Souderton at Hatboro-Horsham
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Hatboro-Horsham High School.

Last Week: Souderton fell 28-14 to Quakertown in the 309 Bowl last Friday. Hatboro-Horsham lost to Central Bucks East 29-14 last Saturday.
Last Meeting: Hatboro-Horsham bested Big Red 28-3 in Week 3 last season.
Players to Watch: Souderton quarterback Andrew Vince ran for pair of scores and also threw for 94 years in the Quakertown loss. Amir Bookard paced HH on the ground against CB East, collecting 61 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
Prediction: Souderton 19, Hatboro-Horsham 14.

Spring-Ford at Wilson-West Lawn
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, George Mack Stadium, Wilson-West Lawn.
Records: Spring-Ford is 2-0 overall (0-0 PAC Liberty Division). Wilson-West Lawn is 1-1 overall (0-0 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1).
Last Week: Spring-Ford bested New Jersey’s Wayne Valley 31-21 last Friday. Wilson defeated Governor Mifflin 42-28 last Friday.
Last Meeting: Wilson claimed last season’s Week 3 contest at Spring-Ford 28-21.
Players to Watch: Spring-Ford’s Ryan Engro threw for 125 yards and two TDs and also piling up 75 yards and two scores rushing. Wilson’s Elijah Morales had a huge game on the ground against Governor Mifflin, putting up 217 yards and three touchdowns.
Prediction: Wilson-West Lawn 28, Spring-Ford 21.

La Salle at Malvern Prep
Time/Place: 1 p.m. Saturday, Malvern Prep.
Records: La Salle is 0-2 overall (0-0 PCL Red Division). Malvern Prep is 1-0 (0-0 Inter-Ac).
Last Week: La Salle fell to North Penn 21-13 last Friday. Malvern Prep opened its season with 49-17 win over Roman Catholic last Friday in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Last Meeting: The Explorers earned a 45-21 win over Malvern in Week 3 last season
Players to Watch: La Salle QB Jack Machita threw for 136 yards and a score against North Penn. Malvern senior linebacker Keith Maguire, a Clemson commit, had a 25-yard pick-six in the win over Roman.
Prediction: Malvern Prep 35, La Salle 28.

Plymouth Whitemarsh at Norristown
Time/Place: 2 p.m. Saturday, Norristown Area High School.

Last Meeting: The Eagles won their first game of 2017 when they edged PW 10-9 in Week 3.
Players to Watch: Brian Dresnin had PW’s lone TD last week on a seven-yard run and finished with 62 yards on 11 carries. QB Nick DiNolfi looks to get the Norristown offense going after getting shut out last week.
Prediction: PW 24, Norristown 20.

Frankford at Germantown Academy
Time/Place: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Carey Stadium, Germantown Academy

Last Week: Frankford fell to Archbishop Ryan 41-0 last Friday. Germantown Academy won its season opener over Simon Gratz 36-24 last Friday.
Players to Watch: GA’s Trae Vance went for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries against Gratz. Frankford’s Jordan Price ran for 105 yards and three TDs in the Pioneers’ Week 1 loss to Bensalem.
Prediction: Germantown Academy 30, Frankford 20.
