Hudson’s interception seals Haverford School’s fifth straight win
For the first time this season, The Haverford School was challenged for all four quarters. The Fords responded and showed once again why they are the No. 1 team in the county.
Aaron Hudson’s interception in the end zone with 30 seconds to play sealed Haverford School’s 29-22 victory over Father Judge in nonleague action Saturday afternoon at Sabol Field.
Junior quarterback Tommy Toal threw three touchdown passes, including two to senior Dox Aitken. Toal flourished in his second varsity start for the Fords, completing 16 of 22 passes for 202 yards.
Keyveat Postell hauled in a 65-yard touchdown catch and Eli Godfrey’s 85-yard kick return for score gave the Fords the lead to stay moments after Father Judge went, 22-21, in the fourth quarter.
The Fords (5-0) begin Inter-Ac League competition next Friday when they host Penn Charter.
