Eight Malvern Prep gridders make college commitments
On National Signing Day Feb. 4, eight Malvern Prep senior student-athletes announced their intentions to play collegiate football.
“Today is a big day for these young men,’ said Malvern Prep head football coach Aaron Brady. “We are very proud of all of our seniors and look forward to following their careers. I know they will represent Malvern Prep well.’
These student-athletes are: Pete Ciesielski of Broomall (Duquesne University), Alex Hornibrook of West Chester (University of Wisconsin), Hayden Mahoney of Malvern (University of Miami), Trevor Morris of King of Prussia (Rutgers University), Ryan O’Neill of St. Davids (Brown University), Jake Rebisz of Thornton (Dickinson College), Dymond Wright of Collegeville (Marist College) and Nick Zarkoski of Spring City (Bucknell University).
O’Neill, Wright and Zarkoski announced their commitments at Malvern Prep. Mahoney and Morris, both of whom are playing for Team USA against Canada in the Under-19 International Bowl on February 7, signed their letters of intent in Arlington, Texas, where the game will be played.
Hornibrook has already begun classes at the University of Wisconsin after graduating early from Malvern Prep in December.
