Conrad Weiser 32, Reading 30: (see game story)
Muhlenberg 34, Daniel Boone 14: The Muhls (2-3, 2-0) stayed with the Scouts in Section 1 by handling the Blazers (2-3, 0-2). Kevens Duffault rushed for 93 yards on 20 carries for the winners. Boone QB Nick Hughes had 86 on the ground before exiting with a second-half injury.
Exeter 24, Pottsville 7: The Eagles (5-0, 1-0) had a tougher-than-expected time with the winless Crimson Tide (0-5, 0-2) in their Section 1 opener. Nick Sarangoulis ran for 140 and two scores, but the Eagles needed a pick by LeRoy Longenecker deep in their own territory that would have pulled the Tide to within one score late in the contest.
Lehighton 7, Governor Mifflin 6: The unbeaten Indians (5-0) edged the Mustangs (2-3) in Shillington in a defensive affair. Mifflin could only manage 149 yards of offense. A fourth-quarter run for a 2-point conversion failed after a late 33-yard scoring pass for the hosts.
Hamburg 42, Kutztown 12: The Hawks (3-2, 2-0 Section 2) posted 22 fourth-quarter points to pull away from the host Cougars (0-5, 0-2). Nick Kuhn threw for a pair of touchdowns and intercepted a pass on defense for the winners.
Berks Catholic 56, Twin Valley 13: The Saints (5-0, 1-0 Section 2) ran out to a 42-0 halftime lead and coasted from there against the host Raiders (0-5, 0-2). Cooper Lutz scored three touchdowns and had 129 yards rushing on five attempts for Catholic. Isaac Lutz ran for 174 on 8 with one score.
