Central Bucks East 2, Owen J. Roberts 1 >> The Wildcats saw their season end in the second round of the District 1 Class AAAA playoffs, stopped by the Patriots on a late second-half goal.

C.B. East, the district’s sixth seed, got its game-winning goal with 7:26 left in the second half. Mackenzie Boyle converted a pass from Reilly Finnegan, breaking up the 1-1 tie Roberts forged at the 29:31 mark when Eloise Gebert, assisted by Julia Lamb, netted the 11th-seeded locals’ lone goal.

East had gotten on the board with 4:17 left in the first half off Cailey Lever’s goal. Cassiey Micklesavage made two goalkeeper saves in the first half for Roberts, before Darby Stuart took over in the second half and recorded five stops.

The Pats outshot the ‘Cats by a 13-3 margin and took 13 corners to Owen J’s 4. Roberts, coming off a first-place finish in the Pioneer Athletic Conference’s regular season and Final Four championship, finished with a 15-7-1 record.
