Carroll field hockey team (1-0) made Head Coach Deanna Golden’s debut a success today with a workmanlike 3-0 shutout of Souderton HS. Laura Wineburg scored a first half goal that held up for a 1-0 Carroll halftime lead. Laura added another goal as did Peyton Nord in the third quarter to make the final score 3-0 for Carroll. Freshman keeper Fiona Conboy was strong in net stopping 5 Souderton shots. Carroll’s defense kepy Soudertom at bay despite them having 9 corners to Carroll’s 6, Next up for Carroll is Episcopal Academy on Monday.
