Methacton 4, Phoenixville 1 >> With Emily Sayre figuring on two of their goals, the Warriors used a first-half scoring surge to set the tone for their PAC-10 victory over the Phantoms.

Sayre assisted Sara Sternchak on the game’s first goal, then netted Methacton’s final tally of the first half after Emily Owens made it a 2-0 game. Maddie Alderfer scored the game’s lone second-half goal, that after Brogan Heisey got Phoenixville on the board in the first half.

Caroline Costello turned away 22 shots at the Phantom nets while Sarah Park and Addie Frey (seven) combined to give Methacton a dozen saves. The Warriors had a 26-13 edge in shots on goal, and 11-9 lead in corners.
